PRNEWS.IO Cancels Fees for Ukrainian Media to Support Local Journalism

To support independent local media in Ukraine, the PRNEWS.IO online platform has canceled fees for all media outlets owned by Ukrainian publishers.

“Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has virtually paralyzed the Ukrainian economy,” says Alexander Storozhuk, a PRNEWS board member, “Local businesses have suspended advertising contracts with the news media due to reporters constantly having to put their lives in danger while working on news stories on the front lines.”

The PRNEWS.IO platform is currently connected to 5070 news sites owned by Ukrainian publishers.

According to Alexander Storozhuk, people from all over the world are looking for a way to help Ukrainians. Support from international brands and digital nomads in the form of buying advertising in the Ukrainian media is a great way to accomplish this goal.

PRNEWS.IO allows brands to publish stories in the media and publishers of news sites to receive rewards for their efforts.

On February 24, the day when Russia invaded Ukraine, PRNEWS.IO disconnected more than 16,000 news outlets owned by Russian publishers from the platform.

The company has also been affected by the war in Ukraine due to its employees who are located in the city of Mykolayiv which is in the southern part of the country.
